The Marcellus community will have a little something extra to be thankful for next week, when the Marcellus High School Concert Band and Symphonic Band present their first concert of 2012-13, at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19 in Groeling Auditorium.
Music teacher Michael Cirmo says: "We hope many of you can join us for this free event in the Marcellus High School Groeling Auditorium. The students have worked hard on some advanced literature. The concert will feature music by eminent wind composers Adam Gorb, Steven Reineke, Alfred Reed, Robert Sheldon and Eric Whitacre."
The concert will include several Marcellus High School premieres, including "A Little Tango Music" by Adam Gorb, "Greek Folk Song Suite" by Franco Cesarini and "Bayou Breakdown" by Brant Karrick.
