K.C. Heffernan Elementary School held their January “All School” Meeting on Thursday, January 13, 2011. The “All School” meetings are designed to bring the KCH community together each month and to spotlight the monthly character trait. Gary Bissaillon, KCH Principal, welcomed students and staff to the January gathering and introduced the monthly character trait of “ambition”. “Ambition is about setting goals. It is not only important to set a goal, you also need to work toward completing a goal. That takes practice and work.” Bissaillon also encouraged students to set goals for themselves, “here’s what I would like you to do, go home and set three goals for yourself and begin to work toward them.” The monthly “All School” meeting agenda also included a recognition segment, student book talk presentations, and songs performed and led by KCH Library Media Specialist Michael Brown (“Brand New Day” and “The School Song”). The January recognition segment included the following Physical Education awards presented from KCH physical education teachers Michael Vincent, Joe Goss, and Katie Rozak.
