First Year Band Concert

The sense of wonder and excitement that accompany the beginning of any endeavor was everywhere present as the Driver Middle School First Year Band, under the direction of Maureen Alvaro, performed their first concert of the year on Thursday, March 3, 2011 in the Aitchison Auditorium at Driver Middle School (DMS). The performance agenda for the concert included:
· “Rise to Power” with a flutes and clarinets featured for “Lightly Row” and “Oh Susanna”
· “Beethoven’s Ninth” with saxophones and trumpets featured for “London Bridge” and “Stomp Rock”
· “Music! Music! Music!” with French Horns/trombones/baritones featured on “Camptown Races” and percussion featured on “African Safari”
· “Let’s Rock”
