Artist Jeans Project

In what has become an annual tradition, student artists in Cher Ferrara’s Driver Middle School (DMS) Art Classes had the opportunity to design and paint jeans influenced by a selected famous artist. DMS faculty/staff members contributed jeans to the project and were delighted by the results. An “artists’ reception” was held on June 14th in the DMS teachers conference room where lunch was shared between the creative student artists and the faculty/staff participants. Cher Ferrera, DMS art teacher, described the event as follows, “The students were able to finally meet the person whose jeans they painted and tell the staff participant about the artist that influenced their design.
