On Saturday, June 26th, the MHS Jazz Ensemble performed at the Syracuse Jazz Fest 2010 at Onondaga Community College, the largest free jazz festival in the country. Members of the jazz ensemble put in many extra hours rehearsing for this special opportunity. Students also attended music clinics by Chris (Toph-e) Parker and Jay Ashby. The band performed “Impressions”, “Groove Merchant”, “Girl Talk”, “Haitian Fight Song”, “Chameleon” and “Pick Yourself Up”. “It was a thrill to play for a large audience on a real “sound stage!” Marcellus Senior High School Jazz Ensemble members include:
