Look for MCS budget newsletter in the mail soon

Check your mailbox soon for the Marcellus Central School District budget newsletter.

The newsletter is packed with information on the 2014-15 budget proposal, including:

• an overview of the $31.6 million proposed budget;
• answers to frequently asked budget questions;
• a look at student achievement in 2013-14;
• a breakdown of 2014-15 revenue sources and proposed expenditures; and
• voter information.

A public hearing on the budget is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, May 12, at Marcellus High School, 1 Mustang Hill, Marcellus.

Residents will vote on the budget proposal, and elect two members to the Marcellus Board of Education, between noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at Marcellus High School.
