Fall Concert, Marcellus High School Bands

The first semester concert season in the Marcellus Central School District began in grand fashion as the Marcellus Senior High School Concert and Symphonic Bands, under the direction of Michael J, Cirmo, performed in concert on Monday, November 22, 2010 in the Groeling Auditorium. The concert began with a featured performance by the “Indoor Drum-line” as Cirmo directed the group’s performance of “Stampede”. Indoor Drum-line members included Bryan Swierczek, Stuart Synakowski, Kevin Pierce, Catie Nonenmaker, Alex Pirro, Jacob Ginestro, Holly Grosholz, Angela Pugliese, Megan Grosholz, and Zoe Mullan Stout.

The Concert Band performed:
“El Relicario” with solos by Keirstalyn Wade/Oboe and Brennan Files/Trumpet
“Chant and Savage Dance”
“By Loch and Mountain” with solos by Andrew Herold/Euphonium and Michael
Raymond/Tuba
“Swan’s Island Sojourn” with solo by Roxana Novak/trumpet

The Marcellus Senior High School Symphonic Band performed:
“Rise of the Firebird”
“Variations on a Korean Folk Song” with solos by Madeline Balman/Oboe and
Jesse Garn/Trumpet
“Solas Ane” with solo by Megan Grosholz/Piccolo
“Malaguena” with solo by Catie Nonenmacher/Clarinet
“Russian Christmas Music” with solo by Keirstalyn Wade/English Horn
