Raymond Blackwell, aka Rap Artist Ray Wellz, brought his 3D Vision to Driver Middle School students at a series of assemblies held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Blackwell’s 3D message focused on determination, direction, and destiny. Weaving together a presentation that was part storytelling, part Rap music, and part inspirational message, Blackwell shared his belief that success in school and in life involves:
Purpose – a reason for being
Faith – believing (an action) in something you can’t see
Skills – talents and abilities that “pay the bills”
Blackwell explained, “A blender is made for blending, if it does something else its purpose is perverted. You were designed for greatness and anything else perverts your design…..Everyone has a gift inside of them.” Ray Blackwell graduated from Fowler High School in Syracuse, New York and currently lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His current album is entitled “Best Artist of the Year”.
