K. C. Heffernan Elementary School 3rd Grade Classes hold Storytelling Evenings

Folktales and fables featuring a wide array of talking animals and colorful characters filled the K. C. Heffernan Elementary School library as 3rd grade students in Maria Healy’s and Stacy Grooms’ class held storytelling evenings on April 6th and 7th respectively. The storytelling evenings were a follow-up to the Beauty and the Beast storytelling 3rd grade residency held during the month of March. Third grade students selected stories, practiced presentation, and refined expression and tone, all under the watchful eye of Mitch Weiss and Martha Hamilton, the Beauty and the Beast Storytellers. An audience of family and friends filled the KCH library as one by one students told stories from around the world; some serious, some with a message, and some just plain “noodle head” fun!!
