The hallways of K. C. Heffernan Elementary School took on the appearance of an art museum as KCH Art Teacher Fran Hagan held her annual KCH Student Art Show during the month of May. The show was creatively arranged by Hagan in a manner that not only displayed student talent but also highlighted the wide variety of artistic experiences students receive through the elementary art program. Among the works on display, which included artistic pieces from all children in grades Pre-1 through 3, were:
Pre - 1st: Eric Carle Fish Drawings, Duck Watercolors, Sun Paintings, Car Drawings
1st Grade: Flower Paintings, Clay Dinos, Scarecrow Drawings, Abstract Watercolors, Family Drawings, Self Portraits
2nd Grade: Symmetrical Butterflies, Tee Shirt Dinos, Perspective Bedroom Drawings
3rd Grade: Egyptian Masks, Glue Pastel Fish, Surreal Sneakers, Mask Drawings
The KCH Art Show was noteworthy for the “descriptions” which gave visitors insight into the creative process used in Hagan’s art program.
