Driver Middle School (DMS) in the Marcellus Central School District held its second annual Dance Marathon on Friday, March 12, 2010 in the Driver Middle School cafeteria and gymnasium. The event was punctuated by lively dance contests, creative disc jockeys, great food, basketball shooting contests, a “mummy wrap”, and the magic and mayhem of a faculty pie toss extravaganza!! The DMS Dance Marathon was sponsored by Mustang Pride in conjunction with the DMS Student Council, the National Junior Honor Society, and the Yearbook Club. Funds raised from the dance event were donated to the Spack family and the Driver Middle School Family Emergency Relief Fund. The marathon event was brought to an exciting conclusion as studaents lined up to toss cream pies at DMS faculty/staff targets. Driver Middle School staff that graciously offered up their bodies to be “pied” included Kathy Rein, Mark Hagan, Michael Dardaris, Colleen Mahoney, Emma McHugh, Jon Ellis, Eric Cizenski, and Lauren Evans.
